I just recently bought a new stereo system and for some reason it doesnt have an audio in.

Sony - BRAVIA 1000W 5.1-Ch. Home Theater System with Blu-ray Disc Player - BDV-E500W

On my old system, I used my airport express and plugged an audio cord from it to the stereo's audio in to play my itunes on my stereo wirelessly. Now I am at a loss at what to do. Any help?

The Airport Express has optical/digital output;
The Bravia has optical/digital input.

You're all set.

the airport express has an audio jack out, not optical. The stereo system has an optical in and no audio jack input.

Not according to the manufacturers:

Apple: Apple - AirPort Express - Tech Specs
"3.5-mm audio minijack for analog or optical digital sound5"

Sony: (Your URL)
"Digital Input Optical and coaxial connections that accept digital audio signals from other A/V components.

I was wondering if it is possible to stream music (from Pandora.com) to my airport, and then to my speaker
