So I have my good speakers connected to my HTPC where all my music is stored. Its a windows box. I have my macbook as a small laptop on my living room. I would like to be able to control my itunes library on my windows machine with my macbook since they share the same network. I would love for it to be a widget so I could just toss it in dashboard. Any ideas?

Thanks.

I'm guessing you mean having access to your iTunes library on your Mac from your PC? This can be easily done, and is native on iTunes.

Nope.

I mean be able to control, the actual itunes windows application with my mac, through the network somehow.

Just like the iphone application works like a remote. I want to turn my mac into a remote for my window's itunes.

What are you needing to do this for? The only thing I can think of would be remote access. If you shared your entire iTunes library it would be almost the same thing (depending on what you need to remotely access your application for).

There is no widget.

What you're talking about doing is remote desktop access.

You can try:
