Hi to all!
Lost in my library of audio samples, sometimes I cannot remember / understand the pitch of a sample. This is the case of most "found on the net" samples that don't have a descriptive name.

In case of "instrument" samples it is critical to know the original pitch in order to use them in a sampler.

Could anyone recommend any software to determine a sample's pitch? Thanks

I don't know of any, but I would be interested to know of software like what I think you're describing so I can play music into my MBP's microphone and have it saved as a MIDI file or something.

17" MacBook Pro, OSX 10.6.2 Snow Leopard
