Recording A/V from youtube

I'm having problems recording quality audio from youtube feeds using an iMac with QuickTime. The video can be recorded with reasonable quality using QuickTime v10 "screen recording" function. The audio however has to be looped from the headset output into the audio input jacks and the headset output does not impedance match the line input with the resulting audio distortion.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

TubeTV....free download...grabs youtube videos completely, even converts them to iPod, iPhone, and Apple TV formats, and will even put them directly into a playlist in iTunes.

Open up Safari, then navigate to the YouTube video you want to download. Click on Window>Activity and look for the part of the page that is the largest (usually like 15-20MB) and double-click it. It should start to download.
