ripping DVD to mp3

I am trying to find a way..or software that will allow me to rip dvd concert tracks to mp3, so I can put them on my ipod.
I don't want to convert the entire concert to my ipod...I want to pick which tracks to add just as I do from a cd.
Any help appreciated.

Breaking the encryption found on commercial DVDs is not legal here in the U.S. Thus, it's discussion is not allowed on the forum.
