Sorry if something similar like this has been posted before but searching came up dry.

Basically, I'm making a playlist of iTunes songs that I have edited and what I want to do is have the songs transfer to my iPod in that playlist only, but not in my general library. For example, I want to play my edited version of AC/DC's Thunderstruck in the playlist I'm making but not when I look for AC/DC when browsing my iPod by artist. Unchecking the transfer-to-iPod box seems universal, and I was wondering if there was another way to do this beyond changing the artist name in the ID3 tags.
QUOTE Thanks
