recording audio signal from stereo reciever to macpro hard driveHi, I could use some help. I converted from pc to mac a while back and am pretty much happy with the move but there is one thing I used to be able to do on pc that I can't found out how to do with the mac.
My older Denon receiver is connected to the mac via the optical input and outputs. I can play anything on my hardrive over the system and it sounds great but with the pc I used to be able to record sound from anything playing on the reciever to the hard drive. including sound from VHS tapes and recordings on my DVR.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi. Garage band can provide this for you. For additional purposes you can buy application WireTap pro. You can record any input to mp3 or waw format including internal sources for example internet radio.
Check it on WireTap Studio | Ambrosia Software, Inc.
