itunes dropping my atv

I can't figure out why my itines is always dropping my atv. I left the house for an hour and it was good and now it is not synced. Don't know why...please help. I have a linksys wireless router. Also I have restarted itunes and it has lost the sync as I was sitting there. The only way I know to fix is to shut down and restart itunes which is a royal pain in the ....
