Midi to Wav/MP3 Batch conversion software

I have a batch of midi files which I would like to convert to wav/Mp3 files. Is there a piece of Mac Freeware which may be up to the job?

I don't think its an easy task ... MIDI files are played via synthesizer on the sound card ... so rather than being converted they may need to be played back and recorded?

There seem to be loads of windows pieces of software which do the same job though.
