M-Audio Axiom Pro - Power Supply Question

Okay, so, I pre-ordered an M-Audio Axiom Pro midi keyboard controller the other day. I'm a bit naive still so hope you'll bear with me... According to the tech guy at the M-Audio forum the Axiom Pro should run fine on USB bus power. However, I am concerned about this since I will also be running an OWC external firewire h/d, powered by the iMac. Will the 24" iMac be able to power the Axiom Pro? Or would it be better to just purchase a d/c adapter to power the keyboard? I don't want to bog down the iMac if it's not necessary. Thanks in advance for any feedback, etc! Regards, - Dave |
