I'm trying to burn audio CD's on my macbook pro os x v 10.4.11

...all i'm getting are write errors

I've since tried using Toast titanium 10 to burn them...and the same thing appears:

The drive reported an error:
Sense key=MEDIUM ERROR
Sense code=0x0C
WRITE ERROR

Can anybody help me with this please?

Have you tried cleaning your drive?

Were you EVER able to burn successfully?

Are the CDs you're trying compatible with your drive in terms of speed? And what brand CDs are they? If they're Fuji, are they made in Japan or Taiwan?

I've come across this at times and it's often the media itself, so try a different brand of disc for a start.
How old is the Macbook btw?

I was able to burn successfully before with my iTunes for the last couple of years

...now!...iTunes wont burn them and neither will toast

I dont know if it's running too hot or not...i mean I rarely power off my mac book, just let it sleep while i'm not using it..

since these are mp3 files that i'm trying to burn as an Audio CD....could the problem lie therein?...i know it was never a problem before

thanks for your comments guys....i hope you can try resolve this for me...I've just been backing up files on an external hardrive and deleting unwanted software so as to free up space on my hardisk....and still no joy! hmmmm

Sounds like you burner is on it's way out I'm afraid. The mp3's won't make a difference if you are using Toast or iTunes to burn them.
Try cleaning the drive before burning again, but don't hold your breath. External burners are cheap these days, especially there I bet, so that will be the best option.
