Hi group,
I am running a G4 733MHZ, OS 9.2, Digi 001, ProTools 5.x This system has worked perfectly. This setup is dedicated to audio recording and has worked splendidly for several years. Recently I began to have a problem where there was no audio output through the Digi either to the powered studio monitors or to the line outputs where I have a home stereo system connected. On screen everything appears to be working, the cursor moves the meters jump, no sound comes out. For awhile I could reboot the system in OS 10 then back to OS 9.2 and it would work. More recently thois doesn't work. I don't knoe if this is a hardware problem with the Mac, the Digi, or a software problem. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not too familiar with the 001's or that version of ProTools..
But I might be able to narrow down the problem. If a while ago, you could boot up in 10, and then back to 9, and it worked- then I can only see the problem being in your mac, not your interface. If everything seems to be working properly during playback as you mentioned, I would guess it's just a communication problem in the "outs" section.
You could either try a new cable from the interface to the mac, or maybe even reinstalling protools. If all else fails just try the support number for digidesign or do a temp install on a another mac (if you can). You may end up with a busted interface :/
