i have a WS-311M digital recorder and i've recorded files with it but no matter what type of file i convert them to they still won't play on itunes. i've tried windows media players but i don't think it will work with transferring to an ipod...

the files off of the recorder were originally .wma and worked on quick time, but that didn't work so i tried changing them into .mp3, .mp4a, and .flac files and still nothing happened.

Free sound editor ... Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/mac
Quicktime will do it also.
I use Amadeus, but it isn't free.
