What are Podcasts, what do they do, how do you get them, any references?

Sorry I'm new to the website and new to Macs/iPods... Is there an old thread or any other references?

Thanks!

podcasts are just mp3 files that are available to download, either directly from a site or through a link that will tell iTunes to download it and add it to the itunes library.

THere is a typical link to a podcast here

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/comedy/

If you click it you will see what a podcast is
