I've imported video from Formac SV through iMovie, but I want to convert my records through it. Are there any special programs I need?

you can buy toast 6 titanium, it comes with a cable that goes from your record player to your mac, or use a microphone and an app like quickvoice.

iMovie should be able to read the old files. Do you have the latest version of iMovie and quicktime?

iMovie for Mac OS X 4.0.1
QuickTime 6.5.2
