Anyone have a clue on how to turn them up? I have them plugged into the headphone jack and have tried using the keyboard and system preferences I have also looked in utilities but alas they are still quiet! When connected to my p.c. they are very loud!

Drama,

You're sure your output isn't muted? Can you play a song from iTunes and get the sound? If the speakers are otherwise working, could be your sound output jack that's inop...

If you can't play a song from iTunes, recheck your System Preferences/Sound/Output page and make sure it's all set correctly.

If you can hear a song, call Apple or go to an Apple Store and check out that connector.
