usb 2.0

does anyone know how to fix this problem... i am using garage band, on my mac g4 and have e-mu audio interface box to enable me to record real instuments. the sound is distorting and has been suggested that i need usb 2.0....my mac is 1.1.
what are my options ?

Which system are you using. I thought all systems have usb 1.1 for keyboard and mouse, when the remaining as usb 2.0. I know that is true on the Mac Pros.
