depending on how you burnt the files to the dvd, did you create a working dvd or did you put the movie files onto the dvd?

If its that you made a working dvd you may have to rip it then encode it to a movie file, say by using mactheripper to get the vob, then handbrake to convert to mpg or another format.

Maybe there is a quicker way around this, but im not sure.

lol, you can convert it straight from handbrake too rather than using mactheripper. go to

http://handbrake.fr/

Then pop your dvd into the drive, and there is a list of presets on handbrake with descriptions, so you wont have any trouble. its more or less point and click now.

Give it a try, hope i helped

well you decide where to save the file, so if you put it on the desktop the end result would be:

mymovie.mpg or .avi etc depending on what format you save it as

You may also want to try ffmpegX. It's pretty quick with good results.
