I use final cut express to edit and would like to learn CGI. Any suggestions?

Hi there, I've been doing computer animation for about 10 years and I started with some software called Raydream 3D which is now called Carrara Studio, very well featured software for the price, good for beginners. If you want to really jump in at the deep end I would recommend Autodesk's Maya. What area of CGI do you want to learn in particular?

I enjoy making short films to impress people in final cut and think it would be to my benifet to learn some cgi.

A lower-cost alternative is Maxon's Cinema 4D, a very capable and stable app. I use it a lot. Check out www.maxon.net. There's a demo version there.

I judge you when you use poor grammar.
