From what format?
Handbrake handles most codecs, so I would say get that, it's free. A bit more info about what you want to convert would help though. If you want free solutions, take a look at iSquint and ffmpegx.

VisualHub is definitely worth the money. ffmpegX is good, but tricky sometimes. You can use VLC to convert as well, there are instructions on my site www.osxtechtips.com

I never had trouble with Quicktime Pro - perhaps try re-installing it and see if it fixes the unexpected crashes?
Also I think Roxio Crunch or Popcorn offers similar functionality. I never messed with any of the free programs though, I have Final Cut Studio 2 through work so I use that for all my video projects, big and small. _________________ fyreous |

The OP doesn't tell enough information for a good response. First, does the movie play all the way through in QTPro? What is the codec (file format) of the movie and what codec are they trying to convert it to? Oh, and my favorite, what version of QTPro are they using?
Changing software may or may not help. But start with the free ones mentioned above. |
