i used to like to make amv's on my pc and i was hoping to do the same on my mac but the files i use for my videos are rm format and imovie doesn't accept it so i was hoping someone knew a converter software for mac that allows for the conversion of rm or rmvb

Ffmpeg will do it if you get the realaudio codecs for it.

Here is where I got mine:

but it seems you need to login now as a member or something.

EDIT: Found it...go to the download page for FfmpegX and scroll all the way down. There are 2 links for the realplayer libs, use the "stable" one.
There are also instructions on how to install.

um i followed the instruction you know coping and pasting the folder into the ffmpeg folder but then when i try to see if it works it just has that little plus sign like it's waiting and nothing the files i want to convert are rmvb files does that make a difference? their still rm files

ok so i can hear the audio for it but not the video so do i need a seperate codec to see and encode the video

Not all .rm codecs are availible for mac. Your movie might be one of the newer ones that is pc only.
