Transferring Large iMovie Files

hey,

I am running out of space on my MBP and I am trying to transfer iMovie files to my network storage.

Firstly, the project file, what sort of file is that? Is it just a folder with a pretty icon?

Secondly, I think I have a limit on either samba or FAT32 which prevents me from sending (or storing) files over 4GB. What can I do with my .dv files that are larger than this?

Thanks for any suggestions!

An iMovie project file is more than just a project file with an icon, it is also all of your video clips

I know that, I asked is it just a folder... like could I open it on a Windows machine and view the files inside?

Any ideas on how to store files over 4GB from iMovie? Thanks.
