burning speeds

why is it that my pc burns/encodes quicker than my new macbook.. what am i doing wrong? it takes at least 4 hours to burn one of my own movies from one dvd to another!

I'd assume that a portable's dvd burner would burn slower. It would consumer less power that way. Check the specs on both drives to see how they compare.

I don't believe it is the burn speed you are speaking about. I would say it is the encoding speed you are complaining about.
