I need a recommendation for a program that will allow me to load an AVI, select a region I want to keep, and save that as a separate AVI file while maintaining the original DivX format.

I had something on the PC that would allow me to set start/end points, etc. for the extraction but can't remember it's name and doubt there is an OS X version.

Thanks,
Dave

Quicktime Pro will probably do this, but I haven't tried it myself. You would need the Perian Quicktime Codecs also.

VLC will let you do this I think too.
