I have a Sony HDV-V1U with an HDMI port on it. I bought an HDMI cable that had a DVI connector on the other end. I tried plugging the HDMI into my camera and the DVI into my MacBook Pro to use my computer as a monitor. I turned on the camera and nothing happened.

Can I use my macbook pro as a monitor with that cable or any configuration of cables?

Jake
