Evening all -

Just a quick question .... Next weekend, I'll be attending a LAN party, and am trying to figure out two things, as a recent switcher... Can anyone tell me if the following are possible?

1. Can I use my Canon ZR830 Mini-DV camcorder as a video source to stream video of the LAN, with my MBP? I've already been playing with the ZR830 firewire source for iChat, and it has the annoying habit of reversing the video horizontally.

2. What's the best way to do that? We'll have access to the hotel LAN, and I was thinking of just using my MBP as the host. That way, members of my gaming clan who can't attend the party could attend virtually.

I'm looking at VLC and DVTS at the moment and could use some pointers...

Thanks // Ian
