need info,

i have a new macbook pro 17"

i'm trying to file 'save as' several free online tutorials that include H.264 video codec.

does the quicktime that comes with tiger support these files?

i get an error msg and they won't play after downloading.

does anyone know the solution to this?

must i upgrade to quicktime pro to run these movies on my laptop?

thanks for any help.

Do you have the Perian.component installed in:

MacintoshHD -> Library -> QuickTime -> Perian.component.

If so, relocate it to the Desktop and try again. If it doesn't help, pop Perian back in the QuickTime folder it came from.
QUOTE Thanks
