This is what I'm trying to do now. I want to put a slide show on a disk @ then play it on TV. I burned some pictures to a DVD+R & put in in my DVD player just to see what would happen. My DVD player wouldn't read it. I'm just experimenting!

You could create an iPhoto or iMovie project and see if it will allow you to do a slideshow-type presenation.

If you just burn photos on a DVD and stick it in the DVD player,

1. You must first finalize the DVD to make it readible by an end-user player and
2. Your DVD player must have a slideshow functionality when it detects a bunch of picture files.

"Finalizing" a disc is an option often disguised as "Make this disc ready for use in other players" or something of the like, I'm sure you've seen it in burning programs before.
