So here's the issue, I used to primarily use my mac for video editing, and I haven't used it in a while, and my main computer is now a laptop through my school. I have a portable harddrive that I have some media from when I imported my DVC tapes into iMovie. I was wondering if there's a way to convert them to something a program on PC could use. I don't want to have to use my Mac (it's pretty slow at this point) to convert to quicktime and then move to PC, I'd rather just upload these directly to my PC if possible. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You can convert the video into MPEG4 or DivX format, both of which can be edited on a PC

You can do this directly from iMovie. It's part of the Export option under the File menu
