Quicktime error message?

Hi - I got a .mov file that when I try to launch it in quicktime on xp I get the following message:

"It is not a file that quicktime understands"

I have QT 6.0 -

Any ideas on what happened? Thanks. :p

Ummm.. I guess you could try using VLC media player. It plays most of the files QT can't play. Available at www.versiontracker.com/macosx/

You can also try quicktime 6.5 and see what happens.
