why do you want to watermark something you recorded from tv?

regardless, compressor will do this.

Is that a sentence? I might be able to help you but I don't understand. Are you trying to add or remove a watermark?

just superimpose text then drop its opacity to about 30

That is correct compressor is part of final cut. I thought you wanted to watermark a video that you created with out destroying the timeline, i assumed you had final cut. I do not know of any programs however that will watermark for you for free, or cheap.

sorry aint been here in awhile. what you do is if you have fcp or any video editor you superimpose the text you want to appear and then drop its opacity down so it becomes a bit transparent. i'm not sure if imovie has this. i use fcp exclusively

when you output it into a movie the text stays with the video.
