Converting blu-ray to .mpeg?

I am not the most experienced person in the world with video so I am hoping that someone can help me with a very importnat matter. I have a series of very importnat video files that were burned as blu-ray files. They are .bdmv, .mpls, and .m2ts. The original was trashed and I need to convert it to .mpeg. I can't even get the dvd they are burned on to recognize in my desktop, only in my laptop.

I would be most grateful for any tips or assistance...

We need more information, in order to help resolve your problem. Here is the one to start. What kind of systems do you have?

I have both a 1.8 GHz G5 on 10.4.8 and a macbook 2 Ghz Intel Duo which is also on 10.4.8. Anything you can find for me would ne most appreciated rman.
