Capturing Video directly to External Harddrive
I have a Macbook Pro and want to capture video from my camera but put it directly on an external harddrive. I was wondering if there are better harddrives to do this with or not. Will frames be lost by the video going into the camera then coming back out thru usb? Just wondering what the best setup would be to do this and if you could recommend any external hard drives would be great. Thanks.

I would go with any HD you can afford provided that it is large, and has fw800

I agree. I have transferred straight to a USB drive before, with few problems, but FW800 would definitely ensure a smoother transfer.
