My God... HDDVD

I just popped in a DVD movie and it made me sit through a 15 minute HDDVD advert, I was ready to throw the TV out the window by the time it was over! It was BRUTAL, went into TONS of details that no one cares about (how you can book mark scenes, download special features onto the player, etc). Microsoft REALLY needs to learn how to make an advert.

Well I started watching it and I was like "oh cool and HDDVD ad, I've never seen one before" then as it went on and angered me I decided just to let it go and rant about it later :p

You know what I hate? All the anti-pirating warnings at the start of a dvd. Any bit of sympathy I had is gone when I see them.

Yup those are annoying too! These people need to learn how to make at least a half decent ad / warning.

OT but when was the last time you heard of someone getting sued for pirating movies? I'm talking like bittorrent, not these dudes that get busted with the 10X copying machines.

I'm just thinking how difficult it would it be to bust someone on bittorrent? Your ISP would be the only way but I don't see how they can identify what and where someone would be dl'ing from.

What movie or title was the DVD? Did you buy it from Target?
