cutting video?

I want to cut out a scene of a 1 1/2 hr movie which I imported into imovie. How do I do this? seems like something simple yet I cant find the answer anywhere. Thanks in advance.

Place your play head on the start of what you want to cut, then goto the advanced drop down menu and select split at play head. next goto the end of the cut and do the same thing. After that is done, click on the clip and delete or drag it on to the clip window pane.
