Hello all.

Having recently moved over from PC I'm still finding all my alternative programmes. My problem at the moment is how to add subtitles in (usually) .srt format to an existing .avi or divx etc.

I have tried ffmpegx but without success. The video comes out choppy and out of snyc. On my PC I was using Virtualdub.
The subs can be hard burnt or optional, I dont care but I need to sort it out as all of my films have subs.

Any programmes, advice etc. I dont care if its a pay programme, it just has to be easy to use.

Many thanks in advance.

I don't know what Mac or OS you're running Nathan, but have a look at this link:

Look at Post # 7 onwards.

Thanks Marty but all the programmes mentioned are pc specific.
On my pc I used VirtualDub, I tried MovieGate last night on the mac and it seems like maybe it has worked but i have to burn it to check.

Does anyone know of a programme to change the sync of the subtitles?

cheers

How about QuickTime Pro, DivX or VLC, both are oft recommended throughout this forum.
