I have created an edited movie file in iMovie. When I shared it in full quality, it created a 2.5 gb file (about 11 minutes long).

I want to upload this video onto video google so i can link it on my organization's site. I have the google video uploader progam installed.

Now, the google program doesnt recognize DV files. How can I convert the DV file into something it can read, such as avi or mpeg. I don't want to pay for quicktime pro. is there something that came iwht my mac for free that I should be able ot use, or somehting i could download? I have Tiger on an iMac G5 if that helps.

Open the iMovie project, select 'file->export' and pick a different format.

Choose File --> Export
Click on the Quicktime tab
Choose Export Settings from the popup
Click the Share button
On the Export popup, choose an appropriate codec
Click Options if clickable
From there you can fine tunes things. You'll have to learn by doing and reviewing other similar files on the net.
