24 Advanced Project Flickers When Burned to DVD

The subject line says it all, I have been working on a 24 Advanced project in Final Cut Pro 5 virtually forever now. The timebase is set at 23.98, and it was captured with the "Advanced Pulldown Removal" option. Now that the project is done, I did a QuickTime export, pulled it into DVD Studio Pro and burned it. When previewing the new disc after it burned there is a lot of flicker/stuttery movements in the video. Audio is fine, but there is something wrong with the vide. Can anybody suggest any potential settings I may have overlooked, perhaps in user preferences or in the QT settings? Maybe I should do a "QT Conversion," perhaps the "Self Contained Movie" checkbox should be chosen, maybe in combination with the "recompress all frames" options. I just don't know. It would be so greatly appreciated if anybody who has had similar experiences, or knows of a potential solution, could let me know.

Thanks,
Pat

Absolutely, and it looks fine while editing, it is just when I burn it to DVD and then watch the DVD on TV through a DVD player that the interlace flickering occurs.

ok, because first i thought you might have to de-interlace it, but if it did no show up on an external monitory you are fine in that regard. Is this HD footage, 16x9 or standard 4x3

Standard 4x3. What is odd, is that this is the only time I have ever used 24 Advanced, and as luck would have it, it's the only time I have ever had problems. I am not used to settings for advanced mode, so knowing how FCP has a zillion settings for everything, my hope is that I simply overlooked something that I have taken for granted in the past.

Have you tried burning a second DVD? Have you tried viewing the DVD on different DVD players and TV's/monitors?
Most of the projects I've done have been in 24p Advance, 4x3. When you export it, what type of file do you export it as? Mpeg, Mpeg2, etc?
I usually export mine as a straight DV stream. However, this takes up lots of space (30 minutes can easily = 8-10gigs). However, iDVD or DVD studio automatically comprsses the footage to fit on a DVD. I found this method the easiest way while creating the best picture quality.
