Lost memory space

Hi I don't know if this is the right place to post this but if you understand video you may be able to help me. I have a Sony digital camera with a 256k memory stick split into two. While clearing the old photos from one half of the stick the computer asked if I wanted to delete all so I clicked on yes. Now when I try to access tthat side of the stick the camera tells me there is no memory available. The DSC folder is still there but I can't seem to do anything with it. Can anyone help.

When you open the stick in the finder, empty the trash - the files probably are still in the trash, but don't show up in the finder.
