Final Cut Pro Question

Will Final Cut Pro allow live capture for as long as necessary? I have Final Cut Express and it is appears to be limited to a 30 minute "capture now" stream. This will be used for live events and I know you can capture multiple live sources into FCP.

Also, I will be capturing from an analog video switcher through a analog-digital converter via firewire. Can I do this with Final Cut Pro?
