avi to dvd

how would convert a avi video file to dvd without using ffmpegx becuase it takes too long is there any other software which you can use

i think you can use toast 7 and just use the avi file in order to make a vcd svcd or a divx disk. it will require a bit of time for compression and what not but that is my only guess right now
