I have an avi file with AC3 audio. the video plays on mpeg streamclip [Mac OS X 10.9.3], but the audio does not play. I have perian installed, but it still doesn't help. Is there any way to fix this?

Cant say anything about MPEG Streamclip, but try and download VLC and see if it works in that, and if so, its something in StreamClip that isn't processing the Audio properly.

I use MPEG streamclip for couple of times now but this time I suffered a glitch, it seems to not be able to load large (350mb to 700mb) .avi files anymore. That little wheel spins as if it's loading, but does that for 10 minutes and still doesn't load.
