Is it possible to change the file type of a movie?
I have a program called "switch" that does great to switch the extension of audio files. I have some videos that can't be played on my iPhone 4 and am curious if there is a program that will do what switch does for audio with these movie/video files?

Depends on the type of movie. You can generally change .mp4 to .m4v because they are basically the same. However, you couldn't change .avi to .mov.

Try using MPEGStreamclip to convert the movie to a Quicktime movie, which should play on your iPhone.
