I used to use MPEG Streamclip a lot on my old iMac (10.4.11) Always worked fine, no issues.
I now have a MacBook with 10.8.2

I downloaded MPEG Streamclip, but it kept telling me I needed to download a plug-in:

("You must install the MPEG-2 Playback Component before trying to export MPEG2 files! You can buy it online from Apple:")

So I purchased it.

Then the installer said I couldn't install on my computer! Intended for an earlier version!
What gives? I just threw away $21!!!
I just want the friggin' plug in!
QUOTE Thanks

You could give this a go:

Perian - The swiss-army knife of QuickTime® components

I find the best way to locate rogue DHCP servers is to send 240V down the appropriate port. Follow the smoke.
