I use a Mac OSX 10.8.2 and iPhoto '11 9.4.2. Making slideshows, checking "transitions"/choosing "dissolve" OR "none" OR not even checking "transitions" at all ("dissolve" stays visible). In ALL cases, I end up w/Ken Burns style transitions bet/all slides! Maddening. How do I get iPhoto to leave out the transitions altogether, or at least do basic dissolve, rather than scene-chopping K. Burns style? Help! THANKS!

Thanks for the photo of Ken Burns options. Do I have to go through whole slideshow slide-by-slide to make the selection?

Unless you want to use the "All Slides" option, which makes all the slides the same, yes.
