Hi all,

I have 2 files that have been recorded on an HD camera and outputted as MXF files.

I need to convert them to mpegs or .mov or some compatible format that FCP will read.

I have downloaded a free version for Imedia converter but this watermarks it. Im not stingy but only need to convert these 2 files so don't really want to lay out for this as i wont use it again. Could anyone recommend a way i could do it or know of free software that i can use that wont watermark it?

Many thanks and hope someone could help

Cheers

jacko

Hi Jack,
you might want to download a program called Mpeg Stream Clip. It will convert anything. You might want to convert it to a ProRez 422 file to edit in Final Cut. Good luck and keep that camera safely rolling.

It doesn't list MFX files, but it's free so give it a try:
