    Movies to watch when flying?
I've got a 9-10 hour flight in a few days. I'm hoping to watch some movies on the plane. I don't have an optical drive or any way to watch stuff on disc. I'm a Netflix user, but of course, you need to be connected for that to work.

Are there any "download and watch once" movie options available (i.e. options that that do not require an active net connection or physical media)? I'm willing to pay $5/each for 2 movies to watch, but I don't want any kind of long-term commitment.

FWIW, my flight is from Germany to Alaska. There are movies on the plane, but the ones on the way here sucked - I assume the ones on the return flight will not be any better.

Update: looks like you can rent movies with iTunes - so that solves my problem.
