Will FCP Studio work on a IMAC G5

I want to purchase a IMAC G5 and I want to install FCP Studio to it. Will it work and if so will the performace be slow? What would I need to add to the computer?

yeah it will work fine. i run it on a power book g4 all except motion just because i don't have much use for it. the g5 works great too i work with it there also along with a dual g5. the speed for me was always tolerable. the only thing i hate doing is compression which i have done projects with over 16 hours of compression time....that just plain sucks. but if you are doing just general editing it should be great.

It works very well with an iMac G5, just not quite as well as a dual G5.
