Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I need some help uploading DVD onto my MBP. I want to upload them so I can watch them on apple TV. Is there a program that is recommended or will just loading them into iTunes work properly? Also which format does the DVD have to be in to be compatible with Apple TV. Also it is an Apple TV 2 if that helps or makes any difference. Again thanks for any help that anyone can offer I am still new to Mac and learning the ins and outs.

So long as it's a non-copyright DVD, family video from Granny Smith in Australia etc, you can use Handbrake to 'rip' the video to MP4/MPV format (it has a preset for AppleTV). Once converted just drag it into iTunes.

If it's a shop bought, copyrighted disc.... I'm afraid the forum rules don't permit discussion of that nature:
