What's a good, cheap, beginner's capture card that's compatible with a macbook?

Well it depends on the capture card. Hopefully I'll get a capture card that plugs into my usb port.

A polite suggestion: next time, explain what you want to do. Saves a LOT of time on both our parts.

So, now that I finally understand the issue, my suggestion would be to purchase an EyeTV product from ElGato.
